Does kansas or states close to kansas have a hockey team and i mean like NHL team?

The two closest teams to Kansas would be the Colorado Avalanche and he St. Louis Blues. But Kansas does not have an NHL team, they used to have the KC Scouts back in the 70's though.

Kansas is a low populated state with no big city, so they wouldn't have one.
Closest ones are Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, and Dallas Stars.
There's not a lot of teams in the middle or West. Most teams are in the East Coast...the Northeast Coast, which is where I am. :)

Depending on where in the state you are the St Louis Blues or Colorado Avalanche would be the closest. The Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars, or Minnesota Wild would next three closest, though only Nashville is half way reasonable form southeastern Kansas.
