How do I cook vietnamese beef balls? I have a frozen packet of them and no clue what to do.?

A friend gave me a frozen packet of vietnamese beef balls and she expects me to cook them for her. I have no clue how to cook them, I just remember something about them 'falling apart' if I cook them too long.

Anyone know how long I should cook them / the temperatures / any tips?

Thanks,

~Ben

You cook them with vermicelli (a la pho noodle).

The easiest is to use chicken broth as the soup base. Bring the soup to a boil and then dump in the beef balls. At the same time, using another pot, boil some water and cook the vermicelli.

When the beef balls are ready (they will be floating in the boiling soup), serve them over the vermicelli with soup. You might want to have some steamed bean sprout, hoisin sauce, cilantro, hot sauce and lime.

The vietnamese beef balls shouldn't fall apart in the soup, but don't boil them too long as they tend to "expand".

boil some water to a rolling boil, and stir the meatballs around occasionally, and break them apart. boil for about 10 minutes on high heat, the meatballs are ready if you can poke a chopstick through them
參考: i've boiled frozen meatballs several times to put them in my noodle soup :)
