after someones family member dies, why do they put paper storks on a high pole?? and why do they put blue paper around their front door?? this might be from ancient china.... but idk. just tell me why.

Blue is the color for funerals, especially royal blue (which some people call "dead man blue").
I haven't heard about paper storks, but people do use paper cranes. The cranes are then burned. These cranes are thought to help guide the deceased thru the underworld. People still do that nowadays.
