try to do和try doing有什麼分別?

I tried to move the table 嘗試 去 move the table (simple past tense)

I tried ( moving the table...........)<------I tried ( this action)
No big difference !

try to <------ has 2 meanings ( to 嘗試 or to make something right設法)

It is how you make your sentences!

try to ** try + verb+ing <------------- the results vary有變化

When we try doing something, we do it and see what happens. When we try to do something, we make an effort to do it.

eg. I am trying to make a car model.
eg. I tried opening the window, but that didn't help. So I turned on the air-comnditioner.

相反try to do係曾經嘗試過做, 成唔成事唔重要

肯定有分別啦!

Try + Infinitive = 努力以赴去嘗試做,但可能困難重重或不可能完成.
e.g. The lifeguard tried to save the drowned boy but he was certified dead.

Try + Gerund = 嘗試對某事作實驗或者找到解決的方案.
e.g. He could not sleep well at night so he tried drinking some warm milk before sleeping.

結論: Try + Moving = 意謂嘗試把枱搬放在房的另一位置作實驗,看看效果如何.

try to do是指試吓去做
