If a piece of moist blue litmus paper remains unchanged when it is dipped into a solution, the solution, the solution is said to be?

A. acidic.
B. alkaline
C. either acidic or neutral.
D. neutral

and the answer is C Why is [either acidic or neutral] but not D?

or maybe the answer of this question is wrong.

It is alkaline or neutral.
blue litmus paper changes red when it is acid.
If it is alkaline or neutral, it doesn't change colour at all.

the answer is b not c.

blue litmus paper changes red when it is acidic.

*when the alkaline is dipped into a solution , it remains unchanged,
so the solution must be alkaline.*
