During my Summer holidays, my family and myself travelled to New Zealand. At that time in New Zealand, it was Winter so I experienced my first freezing Summer in my life. There were many great places to visit such as the snowfields and the natural hot spa.

We set off to New Zealand on the 8th of August, the flight took about eleven hours which was extremely long and boring. Afterwards, we arrived at the Auckland International Airport. The Auckland city was one of the most populated city in New Zealand.

Our family settled our self in the Skycity Hotel located in the city centre of Auckland. The Skycity was a famous casino and the Skytower was the tallest building in New Zealand which lied besides the Skycity. This night, our family get to dine at the top of the Skytower and we got to see the beautiful view of most of the Auckland city.

The next day, we checked out from the hotel and took about three hours to travelled to a small town called Rotorua. This small town was a famous tourist point due to the natural hot spa and a miniature theme park called Skyline and Skyride.

The Skyline was a cable car like the one in Ocean Park except that it was shorter. On the other hand, the Skyride was a go-kart like ride which you rode a small kart and slide along the tracks built on the hills.

Afterwards, we headed to the hot spa hotel. The hotel offered each of us an entrance to many different spa pools. When I first entered the spa site, the smell of sulfur rushed into my nose and it was very stinky but after awhile I got used to the smell and enjoyed the hot spa.

We stayed for about one hour then we packed up and return to the hotel. After the spa, I felt very tired and sleepy so I fell asleep immediately after I showered.
The next day I wake up, my body was still tired due to the affect of the spa.

On our last day, we went to the Mout Ruapehu snowfield which took us one hour to get there from Rotorua. Since it was my first time to ski on snow, I was afraid that I would injured myself but I certainly enjoyed the moment where our family had a snow fight with each other.

We stayed in the snow field for about three hours then we readied to pack up and head back to Auckland because the returning flight to Hong Kong was at half past eleven at night. I felt very disappointed because we had to leave this fantastic place so early.

Overall, this trip was fun and I enjoyed the feeling of touch snow and experienced real hot spa pool. If I get to travel again I would most likely choose New Zealand !
