I was told by this guy that there was a place in japan where you can live like a samurai for 4 months and i think that would be a pretty interesting experience. I cant find anything on it when i search it so does anyone know anything about it thanks.

Thanks for the answers. I actually dont want to do it to train in martial arts (i already do that, not saying i wouldnt mind that) I think it would be a good experience to live like they did just as i think it would be a good experience to live as a prehistoric man did for a little. But then again I am a sociologist and those might only sound interesting to me.

the way of the samurai has died out over te years and now the different parts of a samurai's life are separated into things like kendo, judo, jujitsu, aikido and kyudo to name but a few but i don't think that there is anywhere that you can do all of these together anymore, sorry

Learn Kendo(=Japanese swordsmanship) in Japan.
When you have a first Dan, you may know Samurai sprit.

I doubt it. That would be very expensive...and you can only stay 90 days on a tourist visa.

try kakunodate. It's a samurai town, but I am not sure if you can stay in the samurai houses (some are private residences).

What do you suppose living like a samurai entails, are you going to be a daimyo or a ronin or something in between?

I think I have heard about such a place but cannot remember where. Maybe you'll be able to find some useful information through the following websites where they provide samurai trainings:

參考: Am Japanese, living in Tokyo.
