after we upload or substract polymonials with similar degree , certainly the cooefficient are further or substracted.consequently, (a million/4 -3/4) x^4 + 7/9 x^3+ ( 3/8 + 5/8) x^2 + (4-4) or -a million/2 x^4 + 7/9 x^3 + x^2 , it is the answer
(-3)+2+(-7)
- 3 + 2 - 7
-10 + 2
- 8.
(-3)+2+(-7)
=-3+2-7
=-8 answer @(^_^)@
One way to think about it is like this:
-3 + 2 + -7
(-1 * 3) + 2 + (-1 * 7)
(-1 * 7) + (-1 * 3) + 2
-1*(7+3) + 2
(-1*10) + 2
-1*10 + -1*(-2)
-1 * (10+ -2)
-1 * (10-2)
-1 * 8
-8
Think through each step until you totally understand it. With practice, you'll be able to skip most of these steps.
• negative + negative = negative
• and if there are two numbers, one positive and the other negative, the answer will be with the greatest number. example: -5 + 4, 5 is more than 4 so the answer will be in negative, and -5 + 4 = -1.
So, in your case:
first: -3+2... answer is negative.. so answer is -1
then: -1+(-7)... this can also be expressed as: -1-7.. so answer is -8.
You must remember when there are 2 signs beside enough other you must change them into 1 sign , in your case its the + behind the 2, and -7,
Formula
+ - = -
+ + = +
- - = +
- + = -
So after you change the signs you equation will be this
-3+2-7
= -1-7
= -8
(-3) + 2 + (-7)
= -3 + 2 - 7
= -1 - 7
= -8
Hmm.. -3 +2 = -1
-1 + -7 .. ( + of - is - ) so -1 -7 = -8
hope that helped =)
