Prove by contradiction 10^1/2 is irrational .

I think there are some tpying mistakes,however,or rather should P^2 is even => P is even whatsoever!

if √10 is rational
Then √10=p/q where p and q are coprime
10=(p^2)/(q^2)
So p^2=10q^2=>10|p^2=>10|p
Let p=10M. Then from p^2=10q^2
100M^2=10q^2=>10M^2=q^2=>10|q^2=>10|q
And so p and q have the same factor 10, which is a contradiction
So 10^1/2 is irrational
