you know how speed is measured in things like km/hr or miles/hour, or meters/secondall of those things are have a distance measure on top and a time measure on the bottom. (that's distance / time)
remember:
Speed = distance / time
speed = 500 miles / 13 hours
= 38.46 miles/ 1 hour (2dp)
= 40miles/hour (nearest 10)
