Well in order for you do put this into a calculator or graph by hand, you need to put it into slope-intercept form; y=mx+b

x - y = -3
-y = -3 - x Subtract x from both sides
y = (-3 - x) / -1 Divide both sides by -1
y = 3 + x Simplify

Now that it is in slope-intercept form, all you need to do is just graph it.
y = 3 + x
Slope: 1
Y-intercept: 3

Points (0,3) , (1,4) , (2,5)

x-y=-3 >>>> 3+x=y

so u can graph it as.... y=3+x

to put an equation on graph, usually supposition values of the variables are assumed.......
u can assume the value of 'x' as 0 and find out the corresponding one for y, ie. it will be 3.

similarly, assume more than three values for x and find y.
then, plot the co-ordinates as(x,y) on graph paper..
join the points
you will obtain a line which will represent your equation.
Hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!

First, you put it into slope intercept form y=mx+b:

x-y= -3 subtract x from both sides
-y= -x-3 and you don't want a -y, so multiply everything by -1:
y=x+3 Your slope is 1 and your y intercept is 3, so your first coordinate is (0, 3). Now you can either substitute any number you like for either x or y and solve for the other, or you can use your slope, 1 or 1/1, to find the second coordinate. Slope is the change in y/change in x. Your y changes 1 and /your x changes 1, so from point (0,3) go up 1 and right 1, to point (1, 4). Now graph your line.

x-y=-3 <---minus X from both sides

-y=-x-3 <----divide entire equation by -1. You need to do this because Y cannot be a negative number

y=x+3

x - y = -3
-y = -3 - x
y = (-3 - x)/-1
y = 3 + x
y = x + 3

y = x + 3 (y = 1)
1 = x + 3
x = 1 - 3
x = -2

y = x + 3 (y = 0)
0 = x + 3
x = -3

y = x + 3 (y = -2)
-2 = x + 3
x = -2 - 3
x = -5

(x,y): (-2,1) , (-3,0) , (-5,-2)...
(dot the coordinates on a graph paper and connect them with straight line.)

y = x + 3 is equation of a straight line.
To draw a straight line, two points are required.
Suitable points are (0,3) and (6,9)
After marking scale on x and y axes, plot theses two points and draw a line thro` them.
