Where exactly was this?

I went to Vancouver for 4 days this summer and I remember seeing a street near the airport with a lot of Asian stores along with stores like Future Shop, Chapters, etc., and I remember seeing elevated skytrain tracks to the side of the street.

Does anyone here know where this was? I would love to go there again the next time I visit.

yup, that's #3 Road. Depending on when you'll be in town, you can just take the skytrain from airport right down #3 Road. I think the skytrain is schedule to run in 2009. It'll take you to the asian stores (aberdeen centre), the future shop (lansdowne mall) and chapters (which is only 1/2 block from lansdowne mall). The skytrain goes all the way to Richmond City Hall if I am not mistaken (#3 Road and Granville).

That street was #3 Road. The main north/south business street in the City of Richmond. It goes from Steveston Highway north to Bridgeport Road. The Future Shop etc. is located at Lansdown Mall facing 3 Road.

You were in the Richmond Mall. It's a fascinating place.
