Hi,
pretty much ( adverb)
It means almost, about, nearly, etc.

Examples:
A: I went to the casio this afternoon, Loh Kung.
B: Oh no! Did you lose,Loh Poh?
A: Yes, I did. I am terribly sorry, dear.
We will have no money this month.
B: Hmmmm... How much did you lose?
A: It was pretty much everything. ( The wife almost lost everything. She only got some coins in her pocket.)
B: Glad I had some coins in my pockets.

'is pretty much everything' means " almost everything"

Pretty much=幾乎

eg. The dress is pretty much everything to the poor girl.
(the dress is almost幾乎everything to the poor girl, maybe it is all she has as she doesn't have many things?)
