在我們的內心, 我們( these two words refer to the pronoun" we" in the clause" we barely.....")是盼望一首歌。
It is a hope for a song, not a song of hope.
It should then be " 盼望 a song".

絕對唔可以單憑一句句子分析:
因為正常會以為感知上同思想上會係一致
所以 "In our hearts a hope for a song, we barely understood." 解落去會怪怪地

但如果見到前面有"prayer" 既時候
就可以容納感知同思想既兩種矛盾
(唔係既話就唔洗pray啦)
好似欲望同道德既衝突咁
