The Law of Reflection actually determines the nature of image formed by a plane surface.The equality of the incident and reflected angles, together with the plane surface, form a series of congruent triangles. From geometry, corresponding sides of two congruent triangles are of equal lengths, this gives the specified nature of image formed by reflection on a plane surface.
