Hi,

F(x) = 4 - 4x is a linear equation with a slope of -4. It goes up and down forever, so its range is all real numbers, just like its domain.

I hope that helps!! :-)

Merry Christmas!!

False. Suppose x = -1, then you would have 4 - 4(-1) = 4 + 4 = 8.

As long as your domain is unrestricted, your range will be all real numbers.

False
The domain is all real numbers
Let x=-100
F(x) = 4-4(-100) = 4+400 = 396 > 4

False, the domain is all real numbers and the range is all real numbers.

Range is all real numbers. This includes negative numbers.

range = IR(all real numbers)

graph the equation
2008-12-24 11:47 pm
f(x) = 4 - 4x

Range
Change f(x) into y:
f(x) = 4 - 4x
y = 4 - 4x
4x = 4 - y
x = (4 - y)/4
(x ∈ ℜ)

∴ the answer is false.

well only those numbers are out of range for ur equation which actually tends to make ur equation undefined or infinte.
in ur case there's no such possibility,so range is infinite.u can put any number in your equation.
