Andrea 是天主教聖名嗎?

Andrea 就是Andrew的女版 , 正如 Joan 係John的女版 , 又正如 Josephine 係Joseph的女版...
所以, 全都可以用來做聖名, 不用加第二d名都得.
之所以有人用兩個字來做名, 係基於西方人時興有個middle name. 例如, 好多人姓Smith, 咁就會有好多人叫John Smith. 有個middle name, 就冇咁多同名同姓, 即係John Peter Smith, John Andrew Smith, John George Smith... 其普及程度相當於中文名字有三個字, 例如陳大文, 陳小強. 當然亦有中文名字係兩個字啦, 例如陳文, 陳強.
中國人的英文名多數有個譯名, Chan Tai Man. 所以加個英文名Chan Tai Man, John都好少同名同姓啦. 跟 Chan Siu Keung, John 不會同名啦. 所以, 中文譯名充當了middle name角色. 中國人好少會再加一個middle name.
不過, 在下認識的人中都有兩三個有middle name, 個名會幾長, 好似 Chan Tai Man, John Peter. 至於方唔方便.... 出機票個名都出唔晒個隻囉.
樓上既Andrea Marie唔知有冇遇過呢d情況呢?

這個唔係聖名，但如果你將Andrea後面加Marie變成Andrea Marie就得架啦！！我都係咁樣。
