Died - 當然也對, 但需知 died 除死亡外尚有多種解釋 (Died - 死, 枯萎, 凋謝 渴望, 切望, 熄滅.) 故在法律上應用 deceased 這字, 只解做 "死亡", no others.

Certified - used in hospitals or by medical personnel; it means that person is dead according to medical measures.

Pronounced dead - used mostly by law enforcers, ie. police, law officials; it means the person is dead according to medical and legal measures.

Example uses:

The crash victim was certified dead by the emergency medical team at the scene.
