The rise and decline of bicycle in a small town

Bicycle was the most popular way of transportation in the small town thirty years before. People started their way and cycled to their destinations leisurely. The tinkly sound of the bicycle bells could be heard all around the small town. When the residents felt a little bored, they would attentively listen to the melodious sound of the tinkling bells.

One day, when a man introduced the motor cycle to the small town, the melodious sound of the tinkling bells disappeared. Instead the annoying noise of motor cycles could be heard around the whole town, and the black fume from the motor cycle polluted the air of the town……However, the bicycles were still replaced by the motor cycle, due to the convenience of using the latter. The motor cycle still can lead them to their destinations easily, though not leisurely!

小鎮街上的單車鈴聲響遍全鎮,
On the small town street's bicycle ting makes a sound the entire town,

鎮民無聊的時候,
The townspeople is bored,

便會細耳傾聽着清脆的鈴聲。
Then the thin ear will be listening attentively to the clear ting.

某天,
Some day,

一名男子從大城市中引入了摩托車到小鎮,
A man has introduced the motorcycle from the big city to the small town,

以往清脆的單車鈴聲不再,
Formerly clear bicycle ting no longer,

反而吵耳的摩托車聲響遍全鎮,
Instead the noisy ear's motorcycle sound spreads the entire town,

黑煙更污染了空氣......
The black smoke has polluted the air ......

摩托車的方便仍吸引了不少人放棄單車,
Motorcycle's convenience still attracted many people to give up the bicycle,

採用摩托車。
Uses the motorcycle.

摩托車仍可讓鎮民輕快地到了目的地......
The motorcycle still might let the townspeople vividly to destination ......
