First, write sinA+cosA = √2 sin(A+π/4)
Then the equation becomes
2√2 sin(A+π/4) = √6
sin(A+π/4) = √3/2
A+π/4 = nπ + (-1)^n π/4
A = nπ + [(-1)^n - 1] π/4

There is a mistake, the corrected one should be
sin(A+π/4) = √3/2
A+π/4 = nπ + (-1)^n π/3
A = nπ + (-1)^n π/3 - π/4
