√(2x - 5) = 13

(√(2x - 5))^2=13^2 square both sides
2x-5=169 transpose -5 to the right
2x=169+5 combine like terms
2x=174 devide 172 by 2

square both sides to cancel the square root.
it will become:
2x-5=169
2x=174
x=87
2008-12-18 7:09 am
2x - 5 = 13^2 = 169 => 2x = 169+5 = 174 => x = 174/2 = 87

√(2x - 5) = 13
Squaring both sides
2x - 5 = 169
2x = 174
x = 87

√(2x - 5) = 13
2x - 5 = 13^2
2x = 169 + 5
x = 174/2
x = 87

square both sides:
2x-5=13^2
2x-5=169
2x=174
x=174/2
x=87

√(2x - 5) = 13
(√(2x - 5))² = (13)²
2x - 5 = 169
2x = 174
x = 87

Answer: x = 87

√(2x - 5) = 13?
squaring both side
2x-5 = (13)^2
2x-5 = 169
2x = 169+5
2x = 174
x=174/2
x = 87
