First of all multiply out the brackets..

so

4x + 4 = 6 - 2x

Now, you can swap the -2x and the +4 around
because on the other side their opeartions will reverse

so

4x - 2x = 6 - 4

which means
2x = 2
2 divided by 2 = x

x = 1

hope that helped

Distribute first:

4x + 4 = 6 - 2x

Then, combine similar terms:

6x = 2

Divide by 6 both sides:

x = 1/3

4(x+1) + 2 (3-x)
1st multiple everything out
4x + 4 = 6 -2x
then combine like terms
6x = 2
x= 2/6= 1/3

Multiply 4By x and 1= 4x+4
On the right hand side do the same , 2*3 and 2*x=6-2x

4x+4=6-2x

take 2x to the other side and 4 to the left hand side . Note when a number or variable is moving to other side the + and - signs change respectively

4x+2x=6-4

6x= 2
x=2/6
x=1/3

4x + 4 = 6 - 2x
6x = 2
x = 2/6
x = 1/3

Divide everything by 2 first:

2(x + 1) = 3 - x
2x + 2 = 3 - x
3x = 1
x = 1/3

Using the distributive property of multiplication, it becomes 4x+4=6-2x, solving for x by subtracting 4 from both sides, adding 2x to both sides, then dividing by 6 you get x=1/3

Step 1. Multiply everything out to get 4x + 4 = 6 - 2x
Step 2. Add 2x to both sides of the equation; 6x + 4 = 6
Step 3 subtract 4 from both sides of the equation 6x = 2
Step 4 divide both sides by 6 x = 1/3

multiply out the brackets
so you get:
4x + 4 = 6 - 2x
and now add 2x to each side
6x + 4 = 6
subtract 4 from each side
6x = 2
divide both sides by 6
so x = 2/6 = 1/3#

x = 1/3

4(x + 1) = 2(3 - x)
4*x + 4*1 = 2*3 - 2*x
4x + 4 = 6 - 2x
4x + 2x = 6 - 4
6x = 2
x = 2/6
x = 1/3
