I heard hot pot is really good, but it can get expensive, so go with friends! They've got some interesting pizzas, too. If you're in Beijing, try to spring the cash to check out the famous duck restaurant. Pretty expensive, but delicious! Lastly, try out all the American fast food restaurants, because they'll have some really interesting things you're not used to seeing, like corn salad at KFC or taro flavor pies at McD's.
