ok you have to plug in the number.
f(-2)=-18(-2)^2+12(-2)-7
f(-2)=-18(4)-24-7
f(-2)=-72-24-7
f(-2)=-103

hope the helped

f (x) = - 18 x² + 12 x - 7

f (- 2) = - 18 (4) - 24 - 7

f (- 2) = - 72 - 31

f (-2) = - 103

Substitute -2 wherever x is in the original equation

So...

f(-2) = -18(-2)^2 + 12(-2) - 7

= -18(4) - 24 - 7

= -72 - 24 - 7 = -103

f(x) = -18x^2 + 12x - 7
f(-2) = -18(-2)^2 + 12(-2) - 7
f(-2) = -18(4) + (-24) - 7
f(-2) = -72 - 24 - 7
f(-2) = -96 - 7
f(-2) = -103

all you have to do is to substitute -2 to f(x)=-18x^2+12x-7

f(-2)=-18(-2)^2+12(-2)-7
= -18(4)-24-7
=-72-24-7
f(-2)=-103 answer

Hi,
Given that f(--2) = --18(--2)^2+12(--2)--7

= --72--24--7

= --103

f(--2) = --103

sub in -2 for each x, so

f(-2) = -18(-2)^2 + 12(-2) - 7
f(-2) = -18(4) + (-24) - 7
f(-2) = -72 - 24 - 7
f(-2) = -103

f(x)=-18x^2+12x-7
To find f(-2), we substitute x = -2 in the above equation
f(-2) = -18*(-2)^2 + 12*(-2) - 7
= -72-24-7 = -103
