Outgoing Email Error

本人用公司部 Laptop - Outlook 2007，我的電郵帳戶已經設定為公司 webmail 的伺服器，收發都是同一個。在公司收發電郵無問題，但在家里用 Netvigator 連線，上網是沒問題，卻只能收電郵，不能發出電郵。Error message 如下:

Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

但有試過在其他地方用 Wireless 上網，收發電郵都沒問題。

請問是什麼問題及如何解決? 謝謝!

ISP blocks other SMTP servers using 25 port except its own SMTP servers.

Yahoo and Google use different SMTP port to overcome this problem. So you can use Yahoo account in Outlook.

Wireless network ISP may be the same as your company's ISP. You have no problem to send mail via it.

Discuss with your company IT officer/Administrator, possible solutions:
(1)assigning different port number for SMTP, but need to reconfigure all your company's computers.
(2)use webmail rather than Outlook, most reliable and little cost of change.
(3)use something like Yahoo/Gmail to forward your mails
