How do I get the layers panel back in GIMP?

I accidently X-ed out of the layers and patterns thing in GIMP. (you know how like when you start it, it has the layers and toolbox panels). I'm super new to GIMP so I don't know how to get it back. Thanks

If you haven't closed GIMP, you can always undo what you have done by mistakes.

Layers is Ctrl-L.
See File->Dialogs (it may be somewhere else on Windows) for the other windows.

If you did not save it that way your doomed if you have not saved it yet just click undo till you get it back
