How to say "generous" in Cantonese?

Generous
慷慨, 大方, 大量


慷慨 Pronunced Hong Koi

This is more formal, and would be used when you are thanking somebody face to face.

E.g.

You are very generous

Nay jan Hong koi
你 真 慷 慨
you really/very generous



大方 dai fong

This is less formal and more of a chatty nature. Usually used to discribe a 3rd person

He is very generous.

ta hean da fong
他 很 大 方
He really/very generous


大量 dai leung

this means generous in terms of forgiving, magnanimous. Can be used simularlly.
