how can you simplify 3/4 divided by 3/8 divided by 1/3? i can seem to remember... please explain the process

You must put the numbers as pure fraktions: 3 3/4 = (4*3+3)/4 =15/4 1 3/8 =(8*1+3)/8 =11/8 Next multiply the first by the second reversed 15/4 *8/11= 15*8/4*11= 15*2/11=30/11

First what you do is take 3/4 and divide it by 3/8. The way you do it is like 3/4 multiply by 8/3 (you switch 3 and 8 in places and change the sign to multiplication, that how it works) So the answer will be 2 cause 3/4 mult. by 8/3 you can simpfy 8 and 4 by by dividing them by 4 which will leave 2 on top and then simply 3 and 3 which will equal to 1. So the answer is 2. Than take 2 and divide by 1/3 which is goes like this 2 is the same thing as 2/1. So 2/1 multi. by 3/1 (we switched 3 and 1 places and changed the sign). 2/1 times 3/1 equals to 6.
