(4x^2 - 8x + 3) / (4x^2 - 6x + 2xy - 3y)? = (4x^2 - 6x - 2x + 3) / [2x(2x - 3) + y(2x - 3)] = [2x(2x - 3) - a million(2x - 3)] / [2x(2x - 3) + y(2x - 3)] = (2x - a million)(2x - 3) / (2x + y)(2x -3) Canceling out elementary ingredient, (2x -3), we get (2x - a million) / (2x + y) wish it helps.

(4x^2 + 8x)/(12x + 24)
= 4x(x + 2)/12(x + 2)
= 4x/12
= (4/12)(x)
= (1/3)(x)
= x/3

factorise both numerator and denominator the divide.

4x^2 can be written 4x(x+2) and 12x + 24 can be written 12(x + 2)

you function is now 4x(x + 2) / 12(x + 2) ==> (x + 2) \ (x + 2) = 1

therefore the answer is 4x/12 whch can be reduced to x/3

4x (x+2) / 12 (x+2) = x/3

4x (x + 2)
---------------
12 (x + 2)

x

4x (x+2) / 12(x+2) = x/3
