What does it mean by "refurbished" when u buy a TV?

Refurbished means that the equipment was sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed / repaired / returned to factory specifications. Many times these are warranty returns.

They can't sell them as "new", however they usually have the same warranty as new, look and perform just as good as new, and are less expensive.
