Studing Chinese in the UK

I have came over to study in England for about 2 or 3 yrs. I am starting to wonder if it is possible for me to continue to study the Chinese language, and if possible, history, literture, etc. in here. However, I do not want to be at the level of the British GCSE, or indeed, A-level Level. Where can I continue to brush up my mother's tone up to the level of a equal age hong kong student? I will be very greatful if any one could give me any help at all.
N.B. I live in Darlington, England

Well, I think that being able to achieve A level standard is pretty good... however, if you think that you are much better than the British A level standard, then I am sure you can just get hold of the syllabus that they use in in HK for chinese language and history and teach yourself! Afterall, it is the attitude and interest you have towards the subject that matters. Certainly for things like chinese history you can read for yourself... and there are lots of books out there! Just read, man!!
