Verb: words that are in actions.You are doing something.
Ex: I kicked the ball. The word "kicked" is the verb becaue you are moving your legs to kick to.
Ex: I sang the song. The word "sang" is the verb.
Ex: I brushed my teeth. The word "brushed" is the verb.

Nouns: People, places, ideas, things.
Ex: Mary goes to school everyday. "Mary" is a person, therefore it is a noun. School is also another noun because it is a place
Ex:The classroom is big!"classroom" is a noun because it is a place.
Ex: Can I borrow your pencil? "pencil" is a noun because it is a thing.


Adjectives: words that describes nouns.
Ex: Mary is pretty. "pretty" is an adjective because it describes the noun"mary".
Ex:This building is the tallest building in the world. "tallest" is an adjective describing the noun"building"
Ex:We are living in a wonderful world."wonderful" is an adjecticve describing the noun"world"




EX: Tom kicks the big ball.
In this sentence, "Tom" is the noun, "kicks" is the verb, and "big" is the adjective.

EX: Mandy is eating the tasty hamburger.
In this sentence, "Mandy" is the noun, "is eating" is the verb, " big" is the adjective, and "ball" is the noun.

Verb=Action word, it is a word used to indicate an action,state,or occurrence,e.g. hear, be, run.

Noun=It is a word(other than a pronoun) or group of words used to name or identify any of a class of persons, places, or things(common noun), or a particular one of these(proper noun).

Adjectives=It is a word or phrase naming an attribute, added to or grammactically related to a noun.

Verb - The part of speech that expresses existence, action, or occurrence in most languages ex. run, make, do
Noun - The part of speech that is used to name a person, place, thing, quality, or action and can function as the subject or object of a verb, the object of a preposition, or an appositive ex. dog, Mary, air
Adjective - The part of speech that modifies a noun or other substantive by limiting, qualifying, or specifying and distinguished in English morphologically ex. a WHITE house (white - adjective)
