-10=6x-16: the answer?

Add 16 on both sides.

=> 6x = 6
=> x = 6/6

or x = 1

ok bring over the "like" (the "similar") terms together...so get the -16 OVER the brackets...
REMEMBER: change the side...change the sign...

16 - 10 = 6x

(notice how "-16" became "+16" ?)

6 = 6x

now to almost "undo" the multiplication of 6x....u do the opposite! which is divide! by bringing the "6" over the brackets...making it change to division!

6/6 = x
1 = x
