Which of the following statements about halogens is / are correct?
(1) Fluorine gas can be prepared by electrolysis.
(2) Fluorine gas has a higher boiling point than chlorine gas.
(3) Dark brown iodine solid easily sublimes to form brown vapour.

p.s. plz explain why the statement is correct ... thanks a lot

(1) correct... because compound of fluorine such as magnesium fluride can undergoes electrolysis...when the condition is suitable, fluorine gas will be liberated

(2) incorrect....group VII elements boiling points increase the group...

(3) correct..just burn the iodine solid and it will sublime
