(3/4)^-2 = [(3/4)²]^-1 = (9/16)^-1 = 1/(9/16) = 16/9
(1/4)^4 = 1/(4)^4 = 1/256.

Now, multiply the two results above, and then square that result and take its reciprocal. When you do that, you get this:

{[(16/9)(1/256)]²}^-1 = {[(1/9)(1/16)]²}^-1 = [(1/144)²]^-1 = (1/20736)^-1 = 20736

[(3/4)^-2 x (1/4)^4]^-2
= (3/4)^(-2 x -2) x (1/4)^(4 * -2)
= (3/4)^4 x (1/4)^-8
= (3/4)^4 x 1/(1/4)^8
= (3/4)^4 x (4/1)^8
= (3/4)^4 x 4^8
= 3^4/4^4 x 4^8
= 3^4 x 4^(8 - 4)
= 3^4 x 4^4
= (3 x 4)^4
= 12^4 (20736)
