Where are those old furnitures go?

There are so many apartments in Hong Kong. People move in and out from
time to time. Unuse furnitures need to be sold or put away, but I cannot
found too many stores carry used items (especially large size appliances).
Did they all end up somewhere in China?

In the old days, I agree with you that the would end up in China.

However, I think you agree that most of the furnitures are from China, because of their low cost. In the sense that, the Chinese can buy new furniture which should be cheaper than HK, as they do not have to pay the transportation cost. Moreover, the old furniture will not ship back to China, as the transportation cost will increase the resell cost.

Therefore, they will end up in the Shum Shui Po or junk yard of Hong Kong.
