Yes, I read magazines regularly.
I can find and develop my interest, e.g. fashion, computer knowledge.
In fashion, I can find the new trend and some good looking clothes they are selling in which shops. It also can save my time.
In computer knowledge, I can update the new information from new technology. Also, it can help me to choose which softwares and techniques that can help me in common usage when tackle my works in my job.

Sorry, I have no idea in "why not". The only point may be save money or you have interest in nothing. However, the internet can provide information as above, but they are not gathered and edited.
