Firstly, we got to know Language(國家,民族等的)語言文字) is different to Dialect (方言,土話) . eg. English, Chinese, French etc are Language, while Cantonese and Mandarin are 2 of the Dialects of China.
Ok, about your question: I guess the language is Phillipino, as we can hear it most places in HK particularly on a tram.

here in HK i guess we can talk to most Filipinos in English so even if we don't know their native language is not a big problem. maybe it's more useful to learn how to communicate with the maids from Indonesia and Thailand.

perhaps we can benefit more if we know more japanese and korean. at least we can enjoy animation / drama series produced by these 2 countries better.

I would say it is the FOUL or COARSE LANGUAGE, whether it is English, Cantonese or Mandarin, or any other languages, FOUL LANGUAGE is always popular.

spoken languages you mean !?

- Hakka (Kèjiā) 客家话/客家話.

- The " Min " languages 闽语/閩語..Min is the only branch of Chinese that cannot be directly derived from Middle Chinese. It is also the most diverse, divided into seven subgroups defined on the basis of relative mutual intelligibility: Min Nan (which includes Hokkien and Teochew), Min Dong (which includes the Fuzhou dialect), Min Bei, Min Zhong, Pu Xian, Qiong Wen, and Shao Jiang.
