既然所以粒子都佔有空間,
光子又系粒子既一種,
咁光子系吾系佔有空間?
原來一間房入面開左勁多燈,
咁咪少在好多空間?

光子唔佔有空間

光子是傳遞電磁交互作用的基本粒子,是一種規範玻色子。光子是電磁輻射的載體,而在量子場論中光子被認為是電磁交互作用的媒介子[3]。與大多數基本粒子(如電子和夸克)相比,光子的靜止質量為零[4],這意味着其在真空中的傳播速度是光速。與其他量子一樣,光子具有波粒二象性:光子能夠表現出經典波的折射、干涉、繞射等性質[5](關於光子的波動性是經典電磁理論描述的電磁波的波動還是量子力學描述的機率波的波動這一問題請參考下文波粒二象性和不確定性原理);而光子的粒子性則表現為和物質交互作用時不像經典的波那樣可以傳遞任意值的能量,光子只能傳遞量子化的能量

Light behavior both particle and wave properties. It can travel no matter it is in wave or particle form. Traveling needs SPACE.

Photons, being a form of energy, do not occupy any 'space' in the macroscopic sense.

But you should be aware that the term 'space' may have different interpretation in its classical (macroscopic) meaning and in microscopic meaning.

In the microscopic sense, even air inside the room doesn't occupy every portion of 'space' of the room, as there are vast distances between each individual air molecules. Hence, most of the 'space' of the room is 'empty'.

Imagine that if the 'space' of the room is filled up entirely by a subatnce, e.g. water. A beam of high energy photon (like X or gamma rays) can still pass through the room.

However, in the microscopic sense, 'space' is necessary for both energy and matter to exist. Before, the Big Bang, there is no space and hence no energy and matter. Energy and matter must be contained in a 'space'.

Be aware the equation E=mc^2 doesn't imply that photon has mass. This is a usual misconception. It only gives the 'mass equivalent' of a photon. In other words, how the energy of the photon is expressed in terms of unit of mass.

跟據波粒二象性,光既係粒子又係波動能.
但係跟據E=mc^2,當你間房開左好多好多燈啦,就當係有成10000W既燈,
10000=m(300000000)^2,咁你估m(質量)會係幾多?細到天文數字一樣!
