Inside EXCEL, the Mean Absolute Deviation is AVEDEV(num1, num2, ...). The numbers (num1, num2, ...) inside are the numbers (or values ) that you want to do the Mean (or average) of the absolute deviation.

EG: you want to calculate the Mean Absolute Deviation of numbers: -1, -2, 0, 1, 2.

Then, all you need to type inside the EXCEL is: =AVEDEV(-1, -2, 0, 1, 2)

After you press ENTER, you will see the Mean Absolute Deviation value.

For more details, you can take a look at the help menu of EXCEL, type in AVEDEV.
