Car warranty Question?

I am planning on getting a used ISuzu Rodeo, it is only 80,000 mile and 2001.
I know Isuzu has 10 years and 120,000 powertrain warranty on it. So if I buy it will the warranty still cover me.

Also, is 4WD cover in powertrain, or what is actually cover?

I've always purchased an extended auto warranty for every vehicle I've owned in the last 7 years. In the beginning I used to get them from the dealer, but I've found it's less expensive to get them from an aftermarket company that specializes in warranties. http://www.simpleautoquotes.com/Auto-Warranty.html They offer free quotes, so it's easy to see how much one would cost for your car.

www.nationalrepairsolutions.com is not bad. I got coverage from them. They sell the policies with the best companies backing them. All warranty companies or even dealerships are brokers for different administrators. One of this company's administrators backs Hyundai's Assurance program which is good enough for me. Another company they sell for was also offered to me once before with an auto loan I got through U.S.Bank, so I know they are credible companies. A couple other companies offer the same plans, but these guys had it cheapest for a 5 year new car plan on my 2012 Kia Forte. They do a Wal-Mart-style 30 day price match guarantee too.

first is the person the first owner or did they buy it used - see if they have the paperwork on the car - if they brought it new the paperwork will inform you if that warranty is transferable - if not you could look into one yourself - if you are buying from a dealer - do not get the warranty from them they will put the cost into the loan and you will be paying interest on it - go on line to find one

Some warranties state "good for XX years or YYYYYYY miles, as long as you own the car" which means it only covers the original purchaser and not the subsequent owner. Find out before you buy and have any surprises.
