1)advantage:The weight is light, the quality of material is firm, moreover has the good ductility, the electrical conductivity, the thermal conductivity, the thermal stability and bears the nuclear radiation.
disadvantages:The pure aluminum is soft, in 300℃ about loses the tensile strength

2)advantage:Has the very strong ferromagnetism, and has the good plasticity and the thermal conductivity.
disadvantages:The iron is easiest to come under the oxidized influence, exposes is very easy in the oxygen to appear the corrosion the phenomenon.

1)Aluminium will not rust while iron rust quickly with sea water. Also aluminium is lighter than iron. So it will required less energy to drive in to move.
Disadventage: Aluminum is softer then iron so aluminium ship hulls would easily deform.
2)Iron is stronger then aluminium. It would not easily deform under strong hitting. Also, iron is heavier so a better effect on hammar somethings.
Disadventage: Iron would get rust when explose to air
