Yes True, Brock's father's name is Flint and he was the former Pewter City Gym Leader and he later passed that title onto Brock, After Brock's mom died his dad had to watch over the rest of Brock family(all of his siblings; which is alot of people!), Flint first appeared in season 1, Ash first encountered him outside of Pewter City while he was selling merchandise, Flint reclaimed the title of gym leader after Brock left.
