=(5x+5)/8 + (3-3x)/5 = (2x-3)/10 (times both sides by 40)
=5(5x+5) + 8(3-3x) = 4(2x-3) (simplify)
=25x + 25 + 24 -24x = 8x-12 (simplify)
=x + 49 = 8x - 12 (minus 49 from both sides)
x = 8x - 61 (minus 8x from both sides)
-7x = - 61 (divide both sides by -7)
Therefor x = 61/7

[5(x + 1)]/8 + [3(1 - x)]/5 = (2x - 3)/10
40[(5x + 5)/8 + (3 - 3x)/5] = 40[(2x - 3)/10]
5(5x + 5) + 8(3 - 3x) = 4(2x - 3)
25x + 25 + 24 - 24x = 8x - 12
25x - 24x - 8x = -25 - 24 - 12
-7x = -61
x = -61/-7
x = 61/7

(5(x+1))/8 + (3(1-x))/5=(2x-3)/10
250(x+1) + 240(1-x) = 40(2x-3)
250x + 250 +240 - 240x = 80x - 120
10x + 490 = 80x - 120
490 = 70x - 120
610 = 70x
610/70 = x
x = 8 5/7

First step you can do is to that the LCM of both sides to eliminate the denominator which is equal to 400.

Now, your equation should look like this:

250(x+1) + 240(1-x) = 40(2x-3) - It's time to simplify things after this step
250x + 250 + 240 - 240x = 80x - 120 - Add all x's and the constant
10x + 490 = 80x - 120 - add 120 on both sides
10x + 610 = 80x - minus 10x on both sides
610 = 70x - divide 70 on both sides and you will get estimate of
x = 8.714286

61/7=x
I can't explain sorry.

20 (x + 1) + 24 (1 - x) = 4 (2x - 3)
20x + 20 + 24 - 24x = 8x - 12
4x = - 56
x = - 14
