To register a charge in a company and reflected in the record as shown in the Companies Registry means the matter has been disclosed to general public stating out the lender's preferential right against the company's assets.
When a company mortgages a property to a bank, a formal mortgage deed will be executed and filed with the Land Registry. However, no one knows that a company's asset has been charged to the bank. In this case, a notification of such charge has to be filed with the Companies Registry. Any person, say a potential creditor, could know some of the assets of the company could not be distributed equally should the company is being wound up. The mortgagee ( Bank ) has the first preferential right to take over the property, sell it and to pay off its loan to the company. Any residue amount will then be paid back to the company for distribution to other creditors equally. It is useful for creditors to assess his financial risks for having a business with the company.

公司押記的要求在香港公司法第80條內註明。你的情況屬第80(2)(d)條，因此按規定要於5星期內以指定方式提交押記登記予政府。
