6x

when you multiply with a variable (in this case it's x) you only multiply the coefficients (the numbers in front of the variable, in this case 2) and the constants (this case 3). So when you multiply 2x by 3, you end up with 6x.

(2x)(3)
= (2)(3)(x)
= (6)(x)
= 6x

What you do for this one is you distribute the 3 into the parenthesis. It will be easier to picture it like this:

3(2x)

Now you just multiply 3 times 2 to get 6
