Hi,
1. An Extended family
* A family group that consists of parents, children, and some other close relatives and they are often live in close proximity.
*A group of relatives, such as those of three generations, who live in close geographic proximity rather than under the same roof.

2. A nuclear family
* A family unit consisting of a mother and father and their kids.
The nuclear family is less inclusive than the extended family. Although the nuclear family is a relatively recent product of Western society, it is threatened by the increasing dissolution of marriage.

3. A Single family
* It refers to a single-parent family, a single-father family or
a single-mother family.
It means either the father or the mother doesn't belong to that family any more .
Maybe they got divorced or either one is dead.


4. A Bicultural family
*Of or relating to two distinct cultures in one family for e.g.
the father is British and the mom is Chinese.

1. An extended family is a family consisting of a few generations living together in a big house, housing complex or housing units. They share things in their daily activities; meals, games, entertainment etc. This family type was predominant in rural places especially in old days.

2. A nuclear family is one in which the parents live together with their offsprings only, in contrast to an extended family. This is the most common family type nowadays.

3. A single family is a family with one single parent and the offsprings, as a result in change of marital status or the death of the other parent. This has become more common in the present day society due to the lack of commitment to marriage among parents.

4. A bicultural family is a family that observes the traits of two cultures. It canbe formed of parents each of a different cultural background, or one parent who is from a background of two cultures. For example, father is Chinese and mother is Thai, or father is Chinese, and mother is Thailand Chinese. This is coming in multicultural cities like Hong Kong.

EXTENDED FAMILY 即係起碼有三代同堂的家庭
NUCLEAR FAMILY　即核心家庭，即係父母加子女
SINGLE FAMILY 即係一個人住的
BICULTURAL FAMILY 即係一個家庭裡有不同的文化背景的人
