What can you do to make the pain less intense? (LADIES ONLY PLEASE)?

Okay, so my girlfriend's been complaining about her period and how painful it is, and lately it's gotten so bad she's been up all night because of how bad it is, so I was wondering if the ladies know what can be done to make the pain go away or at least suppress it?

I have the same problem, usually i just took normal painkillers (ibuprofen and paracetamol) but they weren't really working, so i asked my doctor yesterday and he's prescribed me some different type of painkillers specifically for period pain (Mefenamic), he told me it's an ibuprofen based painkiller but there's other ingredients in it that help with period pains.
I'm not sure if you can buy it over the counter, but if your girlfriend (or you) go into a pharmacy or chemist and ask if they have anything for it they should be able to recommend something for her with you having to go to the doctor.
It also helps if you taking painkillers leading up to your period as that can stop the pain she could get before had (i know i do), and also it's already kind of left in her system so would stop the actual period pain being so bad.
Hope that helps.

Stay away from salt which causes cramping. Take advil and move around to stretch the muscles. Lying in bed causes them to stay tight. Heating pad might help also.

The first thing she needs to do is get a check by a GYN Dr. - She may have fibroid cyst or endometriosis or other physical problem causing pain, if it is that severe. They can also make suggestions for pain relief if she is otherwise fine. Most women experience some pain and discomfort for the first few days of their period, but it should be able to be controled with OTC pain relievers like Naproxene Soldium or Tylenol.
