why not 3^3*2.
remember if u want to find number of factors for a number express it in the terms of product of co-primes.
suppose the factorization is expressed as 3^m*5^n.
then the no. of factors for the given number is (m+1)(n+1).
56 = 8 x 7
= 2 x 2 x 2 x 7
the prime factors are 2 and 7
since it's even we know it has a factor of 2:
56/2=28
since 28 is even we know it has a second factor of 2:
28/2=14
since 14 is even we know it has a third factor of 2:
14/2=7
and 7 is prime. So your prime factors are 2,2,2,7
