Do you know the name of the horse on the badge of this month? Oh, did I hear "Trojan Horse"? Yes, you're right! Let me tell you more about this horse.
At the end of the Bronze Age in Greece, there was a war between the Greeks and the Trojans called the "Trojan War". (The war was a legend though.)
Near the end of the war, both sides were tied. But the Greek king, Odysseus, was very clever. He came up with a plan to win. He told his soldiers to build a very big wooden horse on wheels and then asked the soldiers to hide in it. Next, the Greeks pretended to give up and sailed back home, except for those inside the large wooden horse.
A Greek soldier then told the Trojans that the horse was a gift, so the Trojans brought the giant horse back to their city. The horse was so huge that the Trojans had to tear down some of their city walls.
The Greek soldiers inside the horse kept very very quiet, until, everyone of the Trojans had fallen asleep.
The Greek soldiers then came out of the horse, attacked the Trojans and signalled other Greeks to come back and fight! Finally, the Greeks won and they killed all the men in Troy, and took the women and children back to Greece as slaves.
After that, people call that giant horse the "Trojan Horse".
